Call for Papers
The International Symposium on Language, Mind and Cognition (SLMC 2026) will take place 15–17 October 2026 at Istanbul Medeniyet University. We invite abstract submissions from researchers working at the intersection of language, mind, and cognition — across linguistics, psycholinguistics, cognitive science, philosophy of language, neurolinguistics, and related areas.
Presentation Types To be confirmed
Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentation. Proposals for organised sessions are also welcome.
Abstract Guidelines
- Length: maximum 300 words (excluding references).
- Language: English.
- Content: abstracts should briefly indicate the research question, theoretical background, methodology, main findings, and contribution.
- Anonymity: please omit author names, affiliations, and self-references from the abstract text (blind review).
- Format: PDF; single column; 12 pt; one page maximum.
Review
Each abstract will be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. Review criteria: theoretical contribution, methodological soundness, reliability of findings, and relevance to psycholinguistics.
